Important things to keep in mind
The Swedish government is currently seeking to change the requirements for obtaining citizenship from mid 2026 onward.
Not every residence permit counts towards citizenship. The wait times for citizenship can be around one to two years but it varies vastly on a case by case basis.

You must not have unpaid debts or deemed to pose a threat to Sweden’s national security or public safety or are affiliated with certain groups or organizations that have committed extensive abuse of people.
