International Experience Canada
A government program designed for those who are 18 to 35 (18 to 30 in some countries) to come work and travel in Canada for up to one year. An excellent way to earn desirable Canadian work experience, improve your English and French skills. Each country in an agreement with Canada has a separate quota for the year. Nationals of certain countries may participate in this program more than once.
Your family member can still join you but through an application of their own.
Requirements
Be the citizen of a participating country
Have a valid passport for the duration of your stay in Canada
Your work permit in Canada can’t be valid longer than your passport.
Prove you’re a resident of the same participating country when you apply
This means you must give either a residential or mailing address in that country.
Be between the ages of 18 and 35 (18 to 30 in some countries)
Have a minimum of CAN$2,500 to help cover your expenses in Canada
Have health insurance for the duration of your stay
You may have to present evidence of this insurance when you enter Canada.
Not be inadmissible to Canada
Have, before departure, a round-trip ticket or demonstrate that you’ll have the financial resources to purchase a departure ticket at the end of your authorized stay in Canada
Not be accompanied by dependents
